Pre School Programs |
The pre-school program is based on the Town-for-Kids Pre-school system. It is an established early childhood education system from Singapore that prepares children for Primary School. The teaching methods are not only academic but also stimulating to engage children’s interests and learning. It is also designed to support the Core Curriculum with its interactive classroom technologies.
The subjects that are taught at the Junior Pre-School Program include:
- Language & Literacy- Students learn in a creative manner on how to speak, read and write languages. English, Mandarin and Myanmar are the languages offered at MCTA Junior Pre-School.
- Numeracy- Students learn how to count and not fear mathematics as they grow into Primary classes.
- Environment Awareness- Students learn about themselves and the environment around them.
- Aesthetic and Creative Expression- Students go through arts and crafts, and enjoy music and movement activities.
- Multimedia- From a very young age, MCTA students learn to use computers and their programs.
- Physical Education- MCTA promotes health and fitness for our students through land and water sports. As a proof of our seriousness, the Academy even has its own swimming pool for Junior School.
Classes:
- International & Normal Classes:
- Nursery 1 & 2 (from 3 years old)
- Kindergarten 1 & 2 (from 5 years old)
- International & Normal Pre-School classes run from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday
- There are 4 terms in an academic year starting from May.
- Playschool (from 18 months to 3 years old)
- Playschool starts from 9:30am to 11:30am Monday to Friday.

| Junior School Programs |
MCTA is a Singapore International-System Academy and adopts the curriculum from Singapore government schools. Primary school is divided into 2 stages: A foundation stage from Primary 1 to 4 and an orientation stage from Primary 5 to 6. The foundation stage is what MCTA calls its Junior Primary Programs and the orientation stage is part of the academy’s Middle PSLE Program.
The subjects that are offered in Junior Primary 1 & 2 include:
- English Language
- Mother Tongue [optional] [Mandarin, Myanmar]
- Mathematics
- Arts & Crafts
- Music
- Physical Education
- Social Studies
The subjects that are offered in Junior Primary 3 & 4 include:

Classes:
International & Normal Classes from Primary 1 to 4 (from 7 years old up)
International & Normal Primary Classes run from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.

| Middle School Programs |
The PSLE or Primary School Leaving Exam program is a 2 year program that prepares students to sit the iPSLE examinations [for international students] and the MCTA PSLE exam for normal students. The exams help to mark the end of primary education as well as the accomplishments by students of set objectives.
The subjects that are offered in Middle PSLE 5 & 6 include:
- English Language
- Mother Tongue [optional] [Mandarin, Myanmar]
- Mathematics
- Science
- Arts & Crafts
- Music
- Physical Education
- Social Studies
Classes:
International & Normal Classes from PSLE 5 to 6 are for students who have completed Primary 4 & are older than 10 years old. Middle Secondary 1 & 2 are for students who have completed PSLE and are 13 years or older. All classes start from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. There are 4 terms in an academic year starting each May.

| High School Programs |
The General Certificate of Education (GCE) at Ordinary and Advanced Levels are the examinations that students of the academy’s high school program will strive to make their mark in. As such, the academy’s high school program follows the international successful Singapore/British curriculum for the GCE examinations. The curriculum follows a general education system followed by an intensive examination preparation phase where students can prepare for either the (University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate) UCLES or University of London – Edexcel examinations.
In line with its “TOTAL” student Philosophy of Spiritually Strong, Intellectually Sound and Physically Fit, Physical Education, Life Skills and General Knowledge classes are offered in combination with academic core subject classes.
‘O’ (Ordinary) Level
The academy offers 2 programs specialization for students taking the ‘O’ Level Program: Science and Business. The subject combinations are as follows. This program is highly intensive as it aims to prepare students sitting the international ‘O’ Level examinations to sit for a minimum of 5 subjects per sitting.
The program is offered over a 2 years period (Secondary 3 and Secondary 4). Advanced students (*) can do an 18 months program leading to the start of the ‘A’ Level program.

‘A’ (Advanced) Level
|
MCTA’s Advanced Level Program also offers 2 specializations for its students. The GCE ‘A’ Level Exam is deemed as one of the most acceptable certificate for consideration of international University admissions. This program aims to prepare students to sit for a minimum of 3 subjects at the international exams in one sitting.
The program is offered over a 2 years period (A-Level 1, A-Level 2)
